We had a fabulous range of characters arriving for World Book Day on Thursday, 7th March when we celebrated and explored the world of reading in every class. None of our children were late to school on this morning, meaning that Greybeard (aka Mrs Briggs) didn’t have to make them walk the plank. Every class spent the majority of the day enjoying and celebrating reading and discussing books, authors and characters.
Our Cook, Miss Franks spent a lot of extra time making a special World Book Day caterpillar cake and Queen of Hearts jam tarts for the occasion. which went down a treat with the children.
