World Book Day 2020

The children and staff had a fantastic time dressing up as their favourite book characters for World Book Day on Thursday 5th March.  We had a selection of Harry Potter’s and Supergirls to name but a few.  Where’s Wally, can you spot him? We had an enormous orange dinosaur that was squeezed into the Marsham’s family car which turned out to be Charles!

The children in Classes 1 and 2 shared their favourite poems with one another and Mrs Lofthouse shared her favourite poem, Chocolate Cake by Michael Rosen in an assembly with the children and Mrs Briggs could hear their laughter from the office.   Class 1 shared their favourite poems and nursery rhymes also.

It was also lovely to see the older children spending time reading poems and stories to the younger children, such as Lily below reading to Zach.  Can you spot Charles in his giant dinosaur costume?
