Geography learning in Cooking

The children in Class 1 had a fantastic afternoon today weighing out and mixing a biscuit dough. They used their gross motor skills to lightly knead the mix to a form dough before rolling out smooth ready to cut. They used a new shape for cutting the biscuits which included the outline of Scotland, England and Wales. Once baked, the children used icing to show a rough border and could identify where each country was on their biscuit.  They took their biscuits home to share their learning with their families.
