During a science activity this week the Class 1 children had to think about what would happen to the petals of white flowers if we put them in a vase with some red dyed water. We wrote down our thoughts and ideas about what might happen and then observed closely for a few days. Almost in front of our eyes we noticed that the petals started to turn pink. We discussed that the water was sucked up into the stem and coloured the petals – “What a cool experiment” said Luke. I couldn't agree more!
