Poetry Competition

To mark National Poetry Day on Thursday, 7th October we held a Poetry Competition in Class 2 and Class 3.  We received 16 super entries and it was a difficult choice for Mrs Hugill to pick the winning 3 entries.  Thank you to all of the children who enteres the competition with the entries ranging from personal themes about family, to World War 2 which the children are clearly enjoying studying.

Please see photos in the gallery of the winning entries from Scarlett from Class 3 who wrote a heartfelt poem about her family.  Phoebe in Class 2 who wrote about her very dear rabbit and Eva, also in Class 2 who wrote a seasonal Harvest poem.  All three children received a £5 Amazon voucher and can be seen together in the cover photo.  All of the entries will be displayed in school.
