Olympics

The morning was spent weather-watching in case the rain spoilt the BPASA Olympic Day.  However the BPASA team were prepared with a gazebo to keep the refreshments and raffle prizes dry!  The afternoon kicked off at 2.00pm with an assortment of Olympic-themed games for all on the playground, supervised by the BPASA ladies, our reliable school volunteer, Mr Grassam and a selection of Year 6 children and School Ambassadors.  All of the games were free for everyone to enjoy and a wide selection of prizes were up for grabs for all of the families who bought raffle tickets.  Every child was given a token, so that they could swap it for a fabulous Olympic coloured cupcake. A large turnout of families came to enjoy the afternoon and to show their competitive side.  During the afternoon, children and parents were able to take part in an Olympic Quiz for the chance to win a medal.  The winners were:

Class 1 Harry (Gold), Ava (Silver), Beatrix (Bronze)

Class 2 - Harvey (Gold), Freya (Silver), Leo, Rhys & Cece (Bronze)

Class 3 - Bailey, (Gold), Ralphie (Silver)

A fantastic range of raffle prizes were available with a hamper in each colour of the Olympic rings to be won, along with the following prizes: -

Harry & the Dinosaurs Book Collection, A Book Hamper from Fox's Books in Thorpe Willoughby, Kevin the Carrot Collection, a bottle of prosecco, tickets for 4 people to attend Stockheld Park, a voucher for Olivia's Tearoom in Escrick and a voucher for William's Den.  The BPASA would like to thank the companies and parents for their raffle donations and to everyone who gave their time, raffle prizes and energy to enjoy the afternoon and make it a big success raising a total of £122.82 for the BPASA Funds.
