Upcycling

Over the year the children who form our School Council have focused on recycling. In school the children have introduced recycling bins that scraps of paper can be placed in and then recycled on a wider scale. To celebrate Earth Month the School Council set a challenge - To upcycle a plastic bottle/toilet roll. We were wowed with the fabulous ideas that came to school as upcycled models. There was an amazing cat pencil holder and two beautiful Elmer tea- light holders as well as a model of the Apollo 11 and a throne for a rabbit, to name a few of the ideas that came into school. All marvellous ideas, I’m sure you will agree. The eleven children who entered will get a certificate, 3 House Points and a small surprise. Well done to everyone that got involved!
