Remembrance

As a school we marked Remembrance Day on Thursday, 11th November during Collective Worship with some of the children in Class 2 reading a selection of poems from ‘What Are We Fighting For’ by Brian Moses and Roger Stevens. Class 3 recited Remembrance prayers to acknowledge the people that have kept us safe and for the families that have lost a dear friend or family member.

Georgie, Freya, Poppy, Cora, Harvey and Eve from Class 1 are pictured below in our outdoor Reflection Area with the poppies that Mrs Hall helped the children make as an act of Remembrance.

During the week Jesse, Erin and George from Class 3 were fantastic salespeople, advertising and selling the Royal British Legion items to the children who brought cash to school.  They also distributed items to the children which were purchased via ParentPay.   Due to their efforts in promoting this cause, our school collected at least £115 towards the Royal British Legion.  Thank you for remembering.
