French Breakfast

Bonjour from Class 1. This half term we have begun French lessons and we are very much enjoying this new adventure together. We are now able to greet each other in French. As well as being able to ask each other, 'What is your name?' and answer in French. We have learnt the colours of the tricolour French flag in French and have had the opportunity to colour our own French flags. One of our class questions was 'What do French children eat for breakfast' so after some research we found the answer and of course we had to try it out for ourselves. The petit-déjeuner menu included baguettes, croissants, confiture (jam) and lait au chocolat (chocolate milk). We even chose the napkins carefully to match the colours of the tricolour French flag. While enjoying our breakfast we listened to some songs in French and finished off the morning joining in with the counting songs.
