Mary Seacole

This week in Year 1 the children were informed that an exhibition about Mary Seacole unfortunately went missing in transit! The cargo included statues and information cards all about Mary's life. The children were asked if they could help by producing a new exhibition - luckily our children were more than willing to help!  The children worked in groups to become statues, depicting a different period of Mary's life. The children had to think carefully about their facial expressions and body positions to show how Mary was the heroine we know of today. The children also added written pieces of work to accompany their statues and then we spent the time admiring our exhibition.
