Coronation logo

On Friday, 5th May from 2.30pm, we invited parents, carers and extended family to join us for our Coronation celebration in partnership with the BPASA.  The weather in the morning looked rather bleak and despite a bit of thunder during the afternoon, the great British weather did us proud and the sun shone brightly.  A host of stalls were provided by the school and BPASA below: -

Name the King’s Teddy         Royal Bake Sale/Refreshments        Welly Wang

Mug Tombola                          How Many Sweets in the Jar?         Tattoo/loom band Stall

King’s Head Prints                 Target Shoot

Our BPASA are always happy to hear from any volunteer parents or carers who can help with their fundraising, so please email barlowpasa@outlook.com if you would like to offer your support or suggestions at any time.

As the parents and children dispersed, once their wallets were empty, the children were given a commemorative Coronation Gift Pack, provided by the BPASA, as proudly shown by Sienna and Edie to the right here.   The packs contained a Coronation wrist band, bookmark, pen, sticker and recyclable paper with seeds to sow.  All the packs were gratefully received by the children.

A massive thank you to everyone in our school community and to the BPASA for giving their time, energy and contributions and for spending your cash at this historic event which raised a kingly sum of £288.90 (after expenses).

Our Winners Are……..

The winners of the Coronation competitions are as follows: -

Class 1 had such a fun time celebrating the coronation in Class 1. We have spent the time making crowns, learning all about King Charles III and even making some royal biscuits. We also enjoyed our afternoon joining in with all of the fundraising activities!

In Class 2 the children took part in a range of activities to mark the coronation of King Charles III. The pupils had a range of activities to choose from, including making Union Jack flags and bunting, a Coronation crossword and some Coronation colouring activities. Our class then joined in the wonderful range of activities and stalls that the BPASA had set out on the playground and field!

In Class 3 the children took part in the proceedings by drawing some collaborative portraits of the King. They worked in groups of 3 with one pencil per group.  We are sure you will agree that the portraits in our gallery look amazing so far.
