Bullying

Anti-Bullying Week is an annual event that aims to raise awareness of bullying of young people, with an emphasis on prevention and effective responses to bullying.  To support Anti-Bullying Week, our children had an assembly which focused on what bullying is, how and who to report it to at school and at home.  They also discussed how to ensure that they are always kind, treat each other with respect and celebrate their differences.

The children in Class 2 discussed bullying during their Jigsaw session and wrote poems (see below) and the children in Class 3 discussed how to be kind to each other during their Spirituality lesson.

Laura wrote “We can stop bullying by being kind and stop saying unkind things to other people and maybe give a compliment instead.  If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it!”
