Crucial Crew

n Wednesday, 19th July, our Year 6 Leavers joined our other federation school children to attended Crucial Crew in York which, hosted by North Yorkshire Police, providing the children with workshops to teach them about Fire & Water Safety, Drug Dangers, Alcohol and Anti-Social Behaviour.  Other partners to the day were the School Nurses who talked to the children about the worries of starting secondary school, Youth Justice who discussed Anger in the Home, IDAS (Domestic abuse service) and City of York Council who addressed Road Safety.  We are grateful to the BPASA for donating £5 per child toward the cost of the trip.

Before returning to school the children visited Selby Superbowl to enjoy a friendly but competitive game of bowling and Laser-tag, followed by a pizza meal and cake.
