Robinwood 2024

Some of the children from The White Rose Federation could hardly contain their excitement on the 11th March, as they headed to Robinwood Activity Centre, set in the picturesque location of Dobroyd Castle.  The children and staff deemed the residential visit of 3 days duration, a fantastic success.

The pupils shone with their enthusiasm, behaviour and manners. From the moment that they arrived, until the moment we they left the children were fully occupied as they took part in a range of activities and challenges that were built around resilience, problem solving, teamwork and perseverance.

The activities included climbing, caving, canoeing, archery, nightline, The Crate Challenge and many more activities that really pushed them to challenge themselves throughout their experience. One of the children summed up the visit perfectly in his comment below, so what more can we ask for?

"The group of children that we took were outstanding. I have never had a group that jumped from the Trapeze first time before; every child pushed themselves to the limit! I am so proud of the way that the children conducted themselves throughout the day and in the evenings, they were all incredible," Mr Rich, Visit Leader and Head of School, Barlow C of E Primary School.

“This was the best trip I have ever been on!” - Ralphie, Class 3, Barlow
