On Wednesday, 17th May, we welcomed many parents and carers to join us for our Barlow Sports Day. We were blessed with a clear, dry day which was not too hot for our competitors and spectators. A huge thank you to everyone who attended our sports day this year! Mr Rich is sure that you will agree, it was great to see so many pupils having fun, trying their best and demonstrating the skills of teamwork, perseverance and determination. Well done to everyone who participated in our sprint, bean bag, skipping and egg and spoon races (you too parents and carers)!
Mr Rich is very pleased to announce that after the scores were totalled up, this year's winning team is Rashford! The team will be presented with a Sports Day trophy and receive a curriculum enrichment reward in school.
Thank you to the volunteers from our BPASA for providing much-needed refreshments of tea, coffee, juice, ice-pops, hot dogs and biscuits. Their sporting efforts raised £70.69 towards BPASA funds. We also thank Mr Grassam for helping out with the event and being a constant support to our school community.
Thank you to the parents who provided the photographs, as we are sorry that a disc error with our camera, prevented the photos which were taken by our school staff during the event to be reproduced. At least memories can never be erased and we make many of these together in school!
